How to personalize my homepage
-
Hi WordPress team,
I added some pages and posts to test my theme but I would like that when I select a new them (or even the current one) the homepage gets exactly as on the theme – at the moment it looking different as I was playing with it. Any possibility to reset it so I see my webiste exactly as on the theme? Many thanks in advanced.

I do understand what you mean, however to get your page to look like the theme you would need to have some content, blog post, pictures etc. Once you have those in there, picking new themes will show up like they are pictured once you have a few post. Also, don’t forget to get out the Theme Features like this page describes.
I hope this helps you out.

Every theme has a detailed theme description page like this one is at https://wordpress.com/theme/dyad-2 That’s where set up instructions for it are found.
All support docs are at https://en.support.wordpress.com/ where we have a search box as the most prominent feature on the page.
This is a one or the other situation. You have two choices on any blog
(1) All posts on the front page which is also called the home page and is the URL of the site.
(2) Or a static front page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/ and all posts on a different page. In that case you can create a Page for the Home page https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/#create-a-new-page first and create one for your Posts/Blog then designate a static front page.
