How to place MP3’s and photos
-
Can anyone tell me how I can place MP3’s and photos where I want them like I used to be able to before they changed everything? Used to be easy, now I can’t get it to work at all. Up loading is no problem, just the placement of things on the page. Many thanks for your time guys!

PHOTOS OR MEDIA IN A POST: Open up a Write Post section. Above the box where you normally write is ADD MEDIA. Next to those words are icons that allow Add an Image or Add Video, or Add Audio or Add Media. Clicking on one of those icons brings up a dialog box. The dialog has the option to “Choose Files to Upload,” and clicking on that allows you to browse files on your computer.

Thanks for that but that’s what I’ve been doing and all that works fine except that it sends the file to anywhere it likes on the page instead of letting you choose the place for it which is essential for my blog. Does any one know how I can position files where I need them to be?

Place the cursor where you would like the image or whatever to be. THEN use add media to send the media to the post. Think it should work.

You have to place the cursor where you want the image prior to sending it to the editor. If it does not end up where you want it, click on the image and handles will appear around the edges. When that happens, grab in image at the center and drag it to where you want it and then release the mouse.

Many thanks for your time aristotlethegeek but that’s what I used to do before it all changed but now if you try to click on the page to aline the caret, the up load window simply closes and you lose the mp3.

Do you have the space upgrade? MP3’s can only be uploaded here if you have the space upgrade.

If you do, then make sure the file name has only letters and numbers, no spaces or underscore characters ( _ ) or special characters. Also, make sure that the file name actually has an extension (.mp3). The warning you are getting typically means that the file type you are trying to upload is not allowed.

Thank you thesacredpath, I got confused because the option is there to upload mp3 unlike it was on the old version.
