How to place my blog into my website?
-
Hi all
I’m trying to integrate my blog into my portfolio website (www.jennaleder.com). Ideally, it would be on the left side of the homepage, where there’s currently some short dated updates, the idea being that I can simply update the blog and it would be a lot more efficient and neater looking (not to mention much better organized).
I know that with wordpress.org there’s just a little thing you can download, but I haven’t found anything like that with wordpress.com. Is it even possible to do?
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

@jennaleder, are you talking about displaying a wordpress.COM blog in your website? If so, can we get a link to the blog please?
-
Yes, i’m referring to WordPress.COM, not .ORG. The blog is sandwichpress.wordpress.com.
I only mentioned .org as a reference.

The only way I know of to do it is by putting it in via an iframe, but I don’t know any of the details. Perhaps googling about it may get to closer to an answer.

Something like this (though the use of tables is perhaps not necessary:
<table width=”100%”>
<tbody>
<tr><td width=”20%”>Main content here…</td>
<td width=”80%”><iframe src =”http://peterthomas.wordpress.com” width=”100%” height=”600″>
<p>Your browser does not support iframes.</p>
</iframe></td></tr>
</tbody></table> -
-
well, it sort of works… in that yes, the blog is indeed appearing in the iframe on the mainpage (http://jennaleder.com/index2.php).
But I’m hoping to get just the actual posts there, not the whole page.
Suggestions?

The only sort of thing you could do would be to put your RSS feed on that page via some PHP such as this: http://www.webpronews.com/expertarticles/2006/10/09/rss-feeds-adding-a-feed-to-a-website-using-php .

Hello everybody, am I allowed to ask a REALLY STUPID QUESTION? I too want to have my blog (http://susannicholls.wordpress.com) on my webpage (http:www.susannicholls.com) and I know how to do this in theory because the software I’m using caters for it, BUT What on earth is an RSS feed? What does it look like? How do I know what mine is? Sorry if I’m breaking all the forum rules here, I’m absolutely new to this as you can probably tell. Thank you!
