How to point a domain without email to wordpress blog?

Hello! I want to point my domain from namecheap to the blog I’m setting up. Challenge is, I don’t actually use the email service for this domain – i get emails via another domain. When I wrote to Namecheap, per WP instructions, for the MX info they said not possible do that because I’m only using their free email service (which I don’t actually use)…(1) is there some other way I can do this? and (2) Do i need an email account with that domain in order to make use of the contact form? You do not need an email account that matches a custom domain name to use a contact form – the contact form goes to the email of record for that blog / account – you only need the MX records etc if you have an email account that matches your custom domain name – I have a custom domain name (linked to my name here) – it has email to match the domain name – but the contact form goes to my regular email not the one with the custom domain name
