Can’t place images with comments. All you can do it link to them. Some of the themes list the tags that you can use within comments.

We do not have a list of theme features. engtech did theme reviews but I do not believe this feature was itemized. You can check them at this link http://internetducttape.com/tools/wordpress/wordpress-theme-reviews/

If you need a blog where you can allow readers to insert images into comment boxes then a wordpress.com blog will not fit the bill. WP management and staff state such a “feature” will not be introduced. But you can either self host the software downloaded from http://wordpress.org or hire a web host to do this for you. As that software is different from wordpress.com WP-MU software (a shared multi-user blogging platform) can hack the free template you get from wordpress.org to suit without compromising anyone else’s blog.

ok, I understand. Tel me please, do you know how to change template to make possible to put extern images in wordpress comments via img tag like this:
[img] url image [/img]

Wouldn’t be the theme files that you would be changing but the underlying wordpress files. That’s why you can’t do it here at wp.com. You would need to be hosted elsewhere with your own copy of wordpress from http://wordpress.org to do it.
And that’s BBCode. Folks would be able to just use regular html to do it.
