how to post in second column?

NEWBIE to wordpress: I chose a theme with 2 columns… Can’t figure out how to use my left column. When I go to write a post, it’s automatically put in the right column. Help…

We need an actual link to your blog such as, http://sherimcgregor.wordpress.com/ . The blog title does us no good. Also, you might think of linking your username to your blog URL. The left column is where your posts are. The right column is the sidebar where you can put widgets to list and show such things as categories, recent posts, recent comments, etc.

Try adding widgets in the right column.
