How to post NOT as administrator
-
I just created my site and started making pages. But all of them are listed as the administrator user. Can I just create another user?
I see an option to invite another user – so with that seems like I need to user a different e-mail address? Is that really how to do it – that seems like a pain.

Hi there, yes, that is correct.
Can you say more about why you are concerned that all your site pages/posts are being created under the admin role?

It’s just not very secure. With admin name it’s one step closer for a hacker to hack sites. I haven’t published the site and it’ll be private so can’t provide the address. But thanks for your confirmation.

If you are following security best practices, like having a strong password and not sharing it with anyone, logging out after each and every session working on your WPcom site, hacking a WPcom site is pretty much non-existent.
However, the only site I see under this account you are posting from to the WPcom community forums is not hosted here on the WPcom platform and things here operate a little differently than hosting the WP software on 3rd party hosting like BlueHost, SiteGround and the like. You can learn more about that here: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
In case you need help with a WP site you’ll want to head over to the documentation and forums at https://wordpress.org/support/

Thanks for the info. My question is related to a site I’m helping with that’s hosted on wordpress.com.
