how to preserve the & n b s p ; code when I want to edit
-
Hi. I have three poetry blogs in WordPress and I used the & n b s p ; (without the spaces) code every time I want to indent some lines. I’d hit Publish then the indentation shows. But then, say, I want to remove a picture I inserted, so I’d hit Edit. Then all the & n b s p ; formatting would be gone.
Or, when I do the typing under the “Text” tab, then convert to “Visual” tab, the correct formatting shows, but then clicking the “Text” tab again makes the & n b s p ; codes disappear again. It’s very frustrating.
Since 2009 I’ve been doing copy-paste on the text body with visible & n b s p ; tags, pasting it on Notepad, doing photo edits on “Visual”, then when I return to “Text” I paste the text body from Notepad again.
Is there a better and less cumbersome way? Thanks.

I’m afraid this is what happens when you flip between the Visual and Text editors, and I think the way you’re doing it is unfortunately the most efficient way.

Yes there is a better way. See this post of mine, under “Single line indents”:

The invisible characters seems to work nicely after I’ve tried it a few times. So far I haven’t encountered any trouble. Thank you!
