How to prevent a category from being included in custom menu?

  I have a custom menus. In the menu called “Newsletter”, i wanted only posts that were from particular categories to be included in that menu. When i had only one category “August 2011”, it worked fine. However, when I recently added a new category called “Password Protected”, that category also showed up under the Newsletter menu, even if I didn’t add it to the menu. How can I make the category “Password Protected” NOT show up in the menu? I noticed that if I changed the category to something else like “uncategorized”, the new category would show up in the menu.

  The volunteers here in main forum do not have access to the premium themes so we know nothing about their inner workings, and there is a premium theme support forum that gives you access to the theme designer and the theme team, which is part of what you are paying for.

  I’m using Twenty Eleven, not a premium theme.
