How to prevent footer background extending into the body of the blog?

  My footer background is extending up into the body of my blog, making it difficult to read the text on my sidebar. How can I prevent that? I have already tried resetting the cache and clearing my browser history.

  Note: I haven’t purchased custom design options so I can’t edit the CSS. That would be too easy…

  Hint: the problem is in your Text widget.
