How to promote blog to get maximum visits..please share tips

  Hey everyone!

  I am new to blogging world. Could anyone tell me ways in which I could get maximum number of blog visits? How do you get people you do not know get to visit your blog and comment/like..basically participate?

  Hi there. The two big things you should do is first, create quality original content that people want to read and comment on, and second, engage with other bloggers by visiting their blogs and leaving meaningful comments. Don’t expect your blog to go viral overnight (though it does happen to some). This is a marathon, not a sprint.

  You can also check out http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/, a blog by one of the forum Volunteers, Timethief. She has excellent tutorials on blogging and growing your traffic. You’d do well to follow her advice.

  One way that has helped me greatly is putting a “read more” into my posts. Otherwise people can read everything right from your home page showing only 1 page view. Also try putting a “related posts” plugin on your blog. This keeps people clicking around. My traffic has doubled since doing this. One more thing is getting a plug in for your most popular posts to show up in your side bar.
