How to publish posts
-
Good evening,
Can you please help with publishing posts on tab menu and not category pages?
Kind Regards
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
One more thing, how can i change the social media icons colour? I am not sure why I’ve added them on our Contact Us page but the icon’s background is gold instead of white.
Also, how can I add more sharing options for each post? Right now I only have ”Share – Email” I would like to add social media too.
Last thing! I would like to add founders’ notes or founders info/story or just a news sidebar, is that possible?
Thank you!

Hi there!

I’m not sure I understand what you’re trying to achieve. Could you elaborate a bit on that?

You can add this to My Site>Design>Customize>CSS:
/*Changes the color of social links*/ .wp-block-social-links a { color: #fff; }how can I add more sharing options for each post?
You can add more sharing buttons from My Site>Tools>Marketing>Sharing Buttons. Here’s more info about that:

If I understand correctly, you might be able to create a page like this using categories. Add a category for each post that would be a founder’s note and then add that category to your menu.
Also, bear in mind that with your plan you can access live chat directly from https://wordpress.com/help/contact

Hello,
Thank you for your reply
What I am trying to achieve is removing the ‘CATEGORY: Travel’ header on the category page. Or if possible, how can i publish posts to go on their related pages instead of creating category pages.

In regards to the founder’s note, I mean having like a sidebar with late news/posts from founders. I have seen it in other sites with the same theme, but when I do it it won’t show

Via Custom CSS https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-css/ add this:
.page-title { display: none; }The problem with that though, is since this theme places the category page title as the page title (most themes do), that removes _all_ page titles throughout the site.
But, if you want to remove it, this is the only way.

Pages are a form of content, like Posts, so they cannot contain posts. In this case, category archive pages are your best option.

Do you mean something like https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/recent-posts-widget/ ?
If not, would you please give us a link to a site showing what you’re looking for?

Hello and thank you for your reply! The CSS has worked :)
I would like to add a sidebar widget on my site with info about the authors, and a link for their recent posts. Would that be possible?
Kind Regards,
Grace

You can absolutely do this with the authors widget:
https://wordpress.com/support/widgets/authors-widget/
It does exactly what you ask – provides a widget on the sidebar with each author along with a link to their respective posts. Take a look at that support page and let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks,

Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
I will try this again; although the other times I tried, it wasn’t showing up.
Thank you

Hello,
I have another issue.
Some people have told me they’ve clicked on the ‘Follow’ button but I don’t get emails or see them on the followers page. Can you please help?
Many Thanks

Hi –
If folks are using the
followbutton from the bottom right corner of their screen then they’ve chosen to follow the blog through their WordPress.com user account. Those post updates would be published in their Reader.https://wordpress.com/support/reader/
If people are requesting to follow through their email, where those post notification get emailed to them, then you need the
follow blogwidget added on the site.
