how to purchase a domain permanently ?

    I want to purchase the domain, however the only options that I could see are yearly ones. Can you please help me understand what all options that I have before I make a purchase?

    Hi,

    Unfortunately, I don’t believe that you can purchase a domain name outright, on WordPress.com or anywhere else. When you purchase a domain, you are registering it with the various networks online, and just like other analogous services, they have to be renewed on a regular basis.

    Hi there,

    Domain names always have to be renewed on an annual basis. You can renew a domain name for a maximum of up to ten years ahead at a time (less for some domain extensions), but no more than that.

    This is how domains work, and is regulated by an organisation called ICANN that makes the rules of how domains work across the web.

    There is no way to just pay for a domain once and then permanently own it.
