How to put a link in your post?
-
I’m sorry I’m new around here and need help asap. I wanna upload a story I wrote but I want it to be like: There is a post about the summary of the story and then there is a link provided under the summary.
How do i do that? I thought to make a new post with a summary and stuff in it and i want to add a link that will lead to the story but i don’t seem to get what to do to make that happen. I saw most people have a post under the link for ex: http://path0s.wordpress.com/2008/04/26/catch-22-chapter-15/
and then there is the summary and then there is a link: http://path0s.wordpress.com/2008/04/26/catch-22-chapter-15/#more-22
well apparently both link led to the same page.I’m sorry I’m not really good at explaining this.
I thought i would have to like copy-paste my story to a page I create and then somehow put the link of the page on the post that i said but it didn’t work either. How do i make it happen? It has been bugging me.
Hope to learn from you guys soon cuz i can’t wait to see my story appear on my blog. Thank you for the attention and for the helpful yet patient answer. Please be gentle.

Maybe vivian will be busy, but there are usually volunteers around in the forums all the time.

What you want to do is put the summary/teaser at the front of the post, then hit the dotted line icon, #13, then add the whole post. That way the only thing that shows on the front of your blog is the summary, while everything else they have to click the Read More part to see.
Is that what you want?

you can see an example at http://naatmad.wordpress.com as raincoaster have explained, hit the dotted line icon # 13 which is just before the spell checker icon.
