how to put a subscribe by email on the home page at the top
-
Hi, Right on my home page (https://anothercurveball.wordpress.com) I want to put a subscribe to my blog field so it’s front and center. I have searched and searched and can’t see howe to do this. I would like to put it next to the page links or right above the blog post images.
Any help is really appreciated.

Hi Rob,
This would only be possible if you’re willing to switch themes.
With the Baskerville theme the only place you can add a subscription form in addition to the follow button that already appears bottom-right on the site, is in one of your theme’s widget areas, so in the sidebar on single posts and pages, or in the footer if you want it to be visible on the front page as well.
You can also add the subscription form block in the content of any post or page, but again that won’t be visible on your front page.

As an alternative, you can create a Subscribe page containing the subscription form block, and add that page to your menu. That’s the closest you can get to having a subscription option at the top across your entire site.
If you’re willing to switch themes to one of the new block themes, you can use the site editor to modify the Header template of your theme, and add the subscription form block directly to the site header, above, below or even next to your site menu.
If this sounds like something you’d like to try, have a look at any of the themes under the “Recommended” tab under Appearance ->Themes. And you can find more details on how to use the site editor to customize your site header here:

Hi there,
Method #1: Site Editor
If you are using site editor tool (Beta Phase) to design your homepage, then open it in the editor. Add a new block and chooseSubscribe, inside the Query loop according to your desired position.Method #2: Static page as homepage.
Add Query Loop block >> Choose Start Blank >> Select your desired layout >> Then add the new block (Subscribe field) in between the Post title and Featured Image. That’s All! I hope this helps you!
Have a nice day ahead!
P.S. Since it’s added in a query loop so the subscribe field will be displayed after each and every blog post post title on the home page.

Thanks for trying to help, but adding the subscription form inside a Query Loop block won’t achieve what the OP wants. That will only add a subscription form on individual posts, and cause the form to display multiple times on the homepage, while not being displayed on any other static page on the site.
With your suggested method 2 you’re essentially just recreating the Index template (used for the posts page) that will already exist in any block theme.
But the OP also isn’t currently using a block theme, and doesn’t have the site editor available at all, unless they’re willing to switch themes as I explained above :)
