How to put my posts under the right category

Hi,
I was wondering how could I do to put my posts under a specific category. For example I just made 2 posts till now and instead of leaving them in the home section I would like to move them in the travel section. Is there any way to do that?

I’m 99% sure you can’t move posts to a specific page, but you can create categories. These are not the same, but if you look at my site (birchsilver.wordpress.com), on the sidebar there’s a widget that says Categories. You can have a look there and see how I have the categories, and it may be of use.

Sorry! I just found out it IS possible.
• When you click “My Site”in the top left hand corner, there’s a part that has Themes, Customize, and Menus.
• Click Menus, and you should see a list of your Pages.
• Click the pen symbol to the right of a page name.
• To the left you should see a list of options.
• One is called Post. Click this.
• There should be a list of your posts, so select what one you would like to add to the page.
• Click OK in the bottom right hand corner.
• Above the list of pages, it says “Primary.”
• To the right of this, click the Save button.

You might want to consider creating “category pages”. This guide will show you how:

Your posts will still all show on your blog, but this allows you to create a menu item for a category and all the posts marked for that category will automatically show up on that “page”.

Using the category pages concept all the posts labeled with that category will appears on the category page. And you can make as many categories into menu items as you want. I think you can achieve what you need.
