How to put Social Media icons under title in EverLong theme
-
Hey, is it possible to put a row of social media icons under the header in the Everlong theme. I haven’t a clue how to use CSS but guessing that’s the right way! Any advice is appreciated. my blog is chezciara.com.
Thanks,

If you add the social media links to your menu I can help you swap out the text links for icons/images.
First you’ll need to set up a custom menu that mimics your existing menu and includes whichever social links you want to include. Then you’ll need to use the advanced settings to set the CSS classes. You might also want to upload the icons you wish to use to your media library and post the URLs here so I can provide you with some example code to try out.

I checked http://chezciara.com/ and I can see social media icons at the top of the sidebar on the right.
You can move elements around on a page using absolute positioning:
http://css-tricks.com/absolute-positioning-inside-relative-positioning/Here is an example that you can try out and adjust:
@media screen and (min-width: 1140px) { .site-inner { position: relative; padding-top: 60px; } #text-4 { display: block; position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; margin: 0; padding-top: 1em; border: none; width: 1028px; } }Note: it looks like you are using a theme called Madeline on http://chezciara.com/ — CSS is theme-specific, so the example I posted above is just for that theme.
I also noticed that http://chezciara.com/ is setup using WordPress software, but it is not hosted here at WordPress.com. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ to learn about the differences. Support for blogs that are setup using WordPress.org is done at http://wordpress.org/support/
