How-to re-arrange pages in Boardwalk
-
Hi, I’m using Boardwalk-theme (cute) but I can’t find a way to re-order the pages.
I downloaded a plug-in to do this, but I simply don’t find the Plug-in menu in my dashboard.
Thanks for help!

Hi Hugo,
I’m glad you like it! The main view for Boardwalk displays posts rather than pages. It displays the newest ones first so you can “walk” along through the older posts.
A plugin that rearranges pages wouldn’t help so much, but if you want the posts to display in a certain order, you can try using “sticky” posts, or just modify the posts’ dates.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-postsAlso, to clarify, because we’re managing the security and performance of your site and millions of others on our network, we do not allow third party plugins or themes. But we do have the functionality of many popular plugins built in.
I hope that helps!

Thanks a lot supernovia ( the “i” intentional?).
First problem solved. First page “sticks”.How about changing the dates: My only idea (but I don’t dare to touch a running system) would be to use the top right box and fiddling around with “future publishing dates”….
Could you help me with this too?Nevertheless in my opinion it would be a nice-to-have-feature rearranging the posts like in the menu…

Yup, you can change the dates in the top-right of your post editor — make them future (just note if you do, they won’t show up until then) or even send them to the past. Whatever works best for you.
If these were pages, you could re-arrange them. Posts, by design, are supposed to go in chronological (or even reverse-chronological) order, like a newspaper or journal entries. This particular theme features a chronological “walk” through the posts, but there are other themes out there that are meant to display fixed pages. This one does look great with your pictures, though.
And yeah, the “i” is intentional; it’s a play on words. :) Let us know if you need anything else!
