How to reactivate a cancelled wordpress domain name?

    Hi, Just today I purchased whiskedaway.co from you guys, but then I cancelled it realizing that to use wordpress.org I would need to use an alternative hosting service. When I tried to register the domain name using go daddy, it says it is unavailable. How long until it becomes available again/ would I be able to reactivate it through you again?

    Hi there,

    When you cancel a newly-registered domain, it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and there’s no guarantee the domain will be available to you again. You’re welcome to wait for the domain to be available again if you prefer.

    If you’d like, though, we can try to get that domain back for you. If you do that, you can then point the domain to another host: Move Your Domain to Another Host

    (There’s a 60-day period right after registering the domain where you’d need to point the domain to the other host but keep it registered here. After that time period you could either leave the domain registered here or transfer it to another registrar.)
