How to reactivate/delete an old account without proof of ownership

    Hello,

    I have an old blog account that I no longer have the active email address, user name and password. Worst part of it, I no longer have any proof of ownership as well.

    How do I go about recovering my account if I cannot provide proof of ownership? my goal is to simply delete the old blog site?

    Hi Phillip,

    If you aren’t able to provide an email from the email address with which the blog was registered, a PayPal transaction ID, or the original activation link, I’m afraid we won’t be able to help you recover the account.

    We have a strict policy in place to protect our users from third parties who might try to use our support system to gain access to other users’ accounts.

    However, if there’s personal information on your blog, I would be happy to set it to private for you so search engines and users can’t access it – just let me know.

    Thanks for your response. I understand about wordpress requirements on how to recover the account which unfortunately I no longer possess any of the two.

    Just to make sure, I am not even trying to recover it, deleting the blog is really my goal. Are you sure your not able to clear all the information in this blog or else delete it?

    I will take your offer to set it on private, so it’s not accessible by anyone. Please confirm if you are able to set it on private.

    Yes, I do have a new wordpress blog.

    Hey Phillip,

    Are you sure your not able to clear all the information in this blog or else delete it?

    Not without proof of ownership. Although not completely deleting the content, privatizing the site pretty much accomplishes the same thing in that it removes the content from public view. Only the admin or someone who has been invited to the site can view the content.
