  Anyone know how to get their location using IP address?

  The thing is when I query my own IP address, it comes up and tells me I’m either in Denver, CO or Cheyenne, WY and I’m not in either of those places (hundreds of miles away in fact), but my ISP covers those areas. IP addresses do not pinpoint a person’s location as one would expect. The best you could hope for is a very broad, general idea of location. Most ISP’s also assign the same IP address to multiple users. In other words, IP addresses are not unique to a single user.
