How to receive notifications of replies to my comments on a private blog

    Whenever someone replies to a comment I leave on a blog, I receive a notification on WordPress. But when this happens on a private blog, I don’t get a notification. I always have to check the blog to see if there has been a response to my comment. Is there a setting I’m missing or is this controlled by the owner of the private blog?
