How to recover a deleted free ID
-
I had a free wordpress ID that I deleted stupidly. The recovery form on wordpress support requires transaction information that I wouldn’t have. Any suggestions? I’m not interested in recovering any data.

Hi there!
It depends greatly on how recently you deleted that user account. Also, all data associated with an account is removed during the deletion and the username is blocked from being used again to prevent impersonation.
If you deleted your account within the past 30 days, you should have an email from us that confirms the account deletion – reply to that email and our support will be able to reactivate the account.
If it was deleted more than 30 days ago, that information is not recoverable. You can read more about this policy here:

I hope that clarifies things!

Hello, and thanks for the quick response. The bit ‘…username is blocked from being used again…’ is ultimately what I was trying to validate. So even if I could prove that was me, I wouldn’t be able to get it back.

Since it sounds like you did delete the account more than 30 days ago, then yes that is correct.
Let us know if you have any other questions!
