How to recover Admin access after a staff departure
-
I’m trying to save and migrate this blog to a local WordPress installation — it was written by a library intern from 2012-2013, but it looks like the intern never gave us Admin rights. We have eight WordPress.com blogs, but this is the only one that we don’t have Administrator access to, so it is the only blog that we can’t migrate. Is there any way to recover/get Administrator access to a dead blog where the only existing Administrator account is no longer with the organization?
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, can you clarify which site you’re trying to export? That seems to be missing from the request, but once we have that we’ll check it out and point you in the right direction for support.

Does this thing not let me reply? Or does it just clear the form when I click submit? Or does it hold the reply in the backend for approval? Nothing seems to be happening. Frustrated.

Hello there,
Ultimately you would need to get in touch with the previous site owner as they are only the ones who can transfer ownership of the site.
Are you still in contact with this individual?

This is a quirk we’ve been experiencing recently, and this is on our radar to fix. Rest assured, staff can see your replies.
