Hello there,
I can see the menu on the left hand side of the page. I’m on a desktop. On a mobile device the menu shrinks. It is on the top left side of the page. Click on the three lines that are stacked on top of each other to open the menu.
Here is some information about your theme: Adaption.

If you deleted a link in your menu, you will have to add it again.
If you would like to add a new link to your menu, follow the instructions here: Custom Menus.
I notice your site is in Spanish. For assistance in Spanish visit the forum here: https://es.forums.wordpress.com/

Hello,
I saw the three lines that are stacked and the menu is opened. I need to modify the menu. I deleted the link to the main menu by mistake. I would like to know how to reset the link to continue modifying.
How do I do it?
Thank you -

I’m not understanding your question since I can see your menu. And “inicio” is linking to the home page. The menu on desktop view is always open on this theme.
You can make changes to the menu in the Customizer: https://wordpress.com/customize/ Then choose Menus, and Primary to check your menu settings.
When you look at the custom menus page item 3 is Organize Your Menu. You will see how to move the links in the menu so they are nested under each other.

Hi Liz, thanks for the help.
I am also looking at https://wordpress.com/customize/.
I used to see the link to Menus and Primary. Now the Primary does not appear. This is the problem, I do not know how to make it appear -
Ok, I just activated the theme on my site.
In the customizer, I choose Menus. In the Menus it says “Menu Locations”. When I clicked that, it opens a new screen that says, “Primary Menu” and “Social Links Menu”.
Under “Primary Menu” I selected “topmenu”.Do you see that on your end? If not, I recommend you tag this post with “modlook” so staff can take a look at your account.

Now I am not allowed to select the main menu. Just let me select and edit the social menu. I’m going to tag “modlook” so staff can take a look at my account.
Thankyou Liz -
Hi again,
Once the menu item is deleted, (as far as I can tell) you cannot recover it. You need to rebuild it. I deleted a menu on my test site and set up a new one.
In the customizer, choose Menus. Towards the bottom choose “Add a Menu”. Enter the new menu name, then click “Create Menu”.
In the window for the new menu you will see, under “delete menu”, the Display Location. Choose “Primary Menu”.
To rebuild the menu you need to choose “Add Items”. From the pages area choose the home page, then add categories, etc.
Choose “Save and Publish” at the top when you’re done.In any case, I just wanted to give this another try to see if it could fix your issue this morning. :) Please note that staff response is slow on the weekend, so please be patient as you wait for their reply.

@historiayculturasrepublicanas,
I’m going to tag “modlook” so staff can take a look at my account.
There are no tags at all in the sidebar at right here. Where did you add the “modlook” tag to?
If you’re not seeing a primary menu at Customize > Menus, then as staff-eleanor said, that indicates that you don’t have a custom menu in the primary menu location. The reason why the site https://historiayculturasrepublicanas.wordpress.com/ displays a menu in the primary menu location, despite not having a custom menu set in that location, is that it displays the default pages menu. So themes will display and default pages menu and some don’t. The default pages menu will include only links to the “Home” page.
By mistake I deleted the link from the main menu. How can I get it back?
What link was deleted? If you delete a page, then a link to it will be removed from the default pages menu. Otherwise, there is no way to remove a link from the default pages menu, as long as the front page is set to display the latest posts.

The default pages menu doesn’t ever display at Customize > Menus. It cannot be displayed there.

It looks like @historiayculturasrepublicanas opened a new thread and tagged it for Staff which has been replied to at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/retrieve-the-link-to-edit-the-main-menu?replies=2#post-2991143
If there is any further question, please follow up in that thread. Thanks!
