How to Recover Theme
-
Sorry if this is addresses somewhere, but I cannot find out how to recover a theme that was changed accidentally. I changed it back to the correct theme, but now I can’t alter the sidebar contents, i.e. add new widgets or edit the currect widgets. I can alter the footer, but not the sidebar. Can I “restore” it to the way it was? Also, why can’t I edit the sidebar now?
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you change themes and then change back again the customizations you made originally are lost. Please try clearing your browse cache and cookies.

That sounds like a browser issue to me.

This recovery theme stuff is misleading. In essense there is no such thing. The header(s) you previously used will appear again, provided you did not delete it (them) from your Media Library. When we change themes the widgets we prviously used may migrate into the Inactive Widgets box. > Appearance> Widgets
We go there and drag and drop them into place again and that’s it. -
OK, I tried that, killed the window and opened it new, but the same problem persists. If I add anything to the sidebar, everything there now disappears, but I can still add to the footers. Weird..

Is the blog in question the one wearing the Chateau theme that’s linked to your username?
