How to reduce the text of the featured pages on the home page ? (in Goran Theme)

Hi, there,
The French forum sent me here, because I need someone help to resolve my problem.
I would like to change the text of the featured pages on the home page.
I would like to have just the 3 first lines of text which appeared on my homepage, not all the complete text wrote on my pages.I can use CSS if needed…

You can specify the content that appears underneath the featured pages by setting an excerpt:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/
If you set an excerpt for a page, only the excerpt will be shown alongside the Read More button so you can put as much or as little as you would like!

Sorry, but we don’t speak about the same things…
On the Goran theme, when we are on the homepage we have 3 sections with 3 pages excerpts. That’s called “featured pages”.

My featured pages are called : “Déco”, “Life style” and “La boutique”.So it’s not the text on the pages I would like to reduce, but the text which appeared on the homepage in the featured pages sections…

Just to make sure I understand correctly, you’re trying to change the text shown here:
Is that correct? If so, you can do that with a custom excerpt. For example, start here:
https://lesptitesmerveillesdeberenice.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=19&action=edit
Scroll down that page to the Excerpt box. If you type in a custom excerpt, it will replace the text shown in the original screenshot.

Yes, it is.
But I don’t see really what to do, because I would like that the entire text will be see directly on the “Déco” page (for exemple), but not on the homepage.
For exemple, I would like that just the first sentence appear on the homepage on the “featured page” and all the text appear on the “Déco” page without having to clic on anything… -
Perfect! Here’s an example that might help to explain this a bit further.
Here’s a screenshot from a test page that I have setup. You can see the page title, excerpt, and Read More button:
When you go to that page, you won’t actually see the excerpt; you’ll see the page contents:
Here’s how I have set it up on the actual edit page:

Follow these steps:
1. Start on the Déco page here:

2. At the top, click Screen Options as shown here:
3. Make sure Excerpt is checked as shown here:
4. Scroll down the page until you see the Excerpt box as shown here:
The box may be minimized. You can use the small arrow on the right-hand size to maximize it.
5. In the excerpt box, type the content that you want to appear on the front page. Then, update the page.
Can you give those steps a try?
