You may want to also read this one. There are different types of roles you can give people. Depends on how much you trust them since each has different levels of authority:
-
I think, I did it right. But he can’t write. He does not have the blue tool line, that says my account, my dashboard and so on. What could be wrong? He can’t get into my blogs dashboard…

Did you go into the dashboard. Then go to the Users > Authors & Users tab. Then down under the header of ‘Add User From Community’ and put his email (the one he used to sign up on wordpress with) and then select either Administrator/Editor/Author ? He then should get an email stating that he has been added. And you should see his user name show up on the page under ‘User List by Role’ with the role you gave him.
-
His name does not show up on my blog in the blue tool line above the header. I can only se him as Author as you write.
-
His name will not show up on your blue bar. He should only show up as an author like you said on the user page. He should see a blue dashboard now on his browser with your blog name and be able to go in and create posts and upload pictures like the faq says. If he has problems with the dashboard showing up then you may want to follow these instructions:

One thing you might also try the next time you’re going away is to write up a few posts in advance and post them using delayed datestamps. You can change the date and time a post goes live on the Write page on the right hand side, down towards the bottom of the column of options.

My blog does not show, who the author is. How can I fix that? I would like it to show on every post…
-
There are three approaches you can take.
(1) Choose a theme that has this feature coded into it.
(2) Create a Category called “Authors” and then create sub-categories in each author’s name under it. In that case then assign each author must assign each post to the correct author sub-category prior to publication.
(3) Have each author provide a byline at the top of each post they make.
P.S. This is described in greater detail here. -

Okay then create the Category “Authors” and a sub-category for each of your names and you’re up and running. :)
