How to register a second blog on my WordPress account?

  I’ve registered my first blog (on my own server) to my WordPress account with no problems but I can’t find an option to register a second blog without it being xxxxx.wordpress.com. My second WordPress blog is also on my own domain, so how to I enter a full domain name? I need an API number for the stats plugin (I’m assuming I don’t want to use the same API as my first blog?)

  Have you read the sticky thread at the top of the forum? WordPress.org and WordPress.com are completely independent; if you want a blog here, you will have to have a username and ID here, and a blog here will not be accessible from the dashboard of your WP.org independently-hosted blog.

  Yes I have read that. I’m not talking about WordPress.org.

  The “WordPress.com Stats” plugin says it needs a “WordPress.com API key” so I assumed I need that from WordPress.com? I don’t want a blog hosted on WordPress.com. The “WordPress.com Stats” plugin works fine on my first blog (hosted on my server) I just want to have the same plugin working on my other blog (also hosted on my server).

  I think you can use the same API but you may want to do a forum search on that.

  As far as I can tell that would combine the stats of the two blogs? I’ve searched the forums a few times but specific information is hard to find.
  I guess I could always register as a new user and get a new API number but that seems like a rather clunky solution.
