How to register a site that's just been deleted?

  Hi,

  I’m trying to register bartlettcadcam.wordpress.com/ which was previously taken by a friend of mine. To free it, he has deleted the blog, but I am still not able to register it because it says it is unavailable. How could I register it now that it’s been deleted?

  bartlettcadcam.wordpress.com is no longer available.

  The authors have deleted this site.

  You can’t register the site. Gone is gone forever, there were several warnings about delete is gone forever. You need to use a different name or buy a custom domain name and map it to a blog here.

  A note for the future blogs can be transferred from one account to another account easily.

  Thanks for the reply. Does that mean if you delete a blog, the blog name can never be used again? I’m not interested in the content of the blog, it had nothing on it, just the name (bartlettcadcam).
