How to remove a file from a deleted website?

  I need to remove a file from my old website that I previously deleted as this .doc file is still accessible via the link. The link is http://kodysportfolio.files.wordpress.com/2013/11/sex-scripts-v2-0-kody-carlson.docx and despite my having removed the website, this link still works and opens up a document of very private information that I need to be removed asap.

  Did you just delete the blog in the last day or so? if so it can take a day or two for a file to be flushed from the WordPress.COM caches. If the file was on a public site a search engine will probably have a copy in their cache and it can take several months for them to clear their caches

  I have flagged this for the staff to help – they can flush the file from the WordPress.COM cache for you

  Thank you for flagging it. I did delete it in the past day. Do you know if this forum is available in search engines as well? I just realized that it will not allow me to edit my real name out of the end of the post that I made.

  This forum searches very well, most bloggers would kill for the SEO of search engine juice of this forum

  the staff can remove the link to the file for you also – threads stay unless it is a personal safety issue for someone
