How to remove a header image?

    I use the Sundance theme for my blog. I was playing around with the customise theme options, and tried adding a header image. I don’t like it, but I can’t for the life of me work out how to remove it. I’ve delete the image from my media library & when I go back to the customise options, it says there’s not header. But it’s still there, showing the on the live blog. How do I get rid of it please – v grateful for any help.

    Hello!
    From what I understand you are trying to remove the image for a header on the homepage?
    If that is correct please follow:
    Dashboard–>Appearance–>Header—>Remove Header–>Save Changes

    Make sure you also clear your cache and use an updated browser. If the header image is still there try a different browser.

    Hopefully, the options above will resolve your question.

    Thank you, I really appreciate your trying to help me.

    The header I’m referring to appears on every page on my blog site. I don’t have a static homepage.

    The image has now disappeared (probably because I’ve deleted it from my media library, but has been replaced by a great big blank space in a frame with a tiny generic image icon in the middle.

    I tried to follow your instructions, but when I do Dashboard > Appearance, I don’t see a ‘header’ option’. The options I get are Themes, Customise, Widgets, Menus, Theme Options, Background, Custom Design and Mobile. I tried going through the ‘customise’ option again, but when I then click ‘header’ there is no option to remove header, as it says I don’t have one.

    I am running the latest version of Chrome, I’ve cleared my cache, and viewed through IE as well. Nothing works, the big blank space is still there, on every page.

    It appears your header image has been removed.
    Though, I am not seeing a “great big blank space in a frame with a tiny generic image icon in the middle”

    Okay, so I’ve changed the theme for my blog (found one I really liked better than the old one) and that’s sorted out the header problem (I think).
