How to remove a listed feature from a listed theme?

One of the themes available, Newsworthy, has a feature listed as supported but doesn’t actually have it. The feature in question is “Featured Images” it is not available for use within posts or any way to activate it.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Perhaps the featured image is associated with a post format. Try posting something under the Image post format with a featured image. (This is also the case with Vintage Camera.)
Hm, point taken, it also does not appear in the list of themes that support Featured Images, so I will also tag this for Staff input.

@karim – Em, no. “Featured Images” still seems to appear in the list of features on the theme’s Showcase page.
However, in the Post Editor and Page Editors, there most definitely is no “Featured Image” module available under Screen Options.
Perhaps we could have a little clarity from one of the theme wranglers?
