    Hello,

I am going through a transition from an old WordPress dev team to a new one. I found that one of the old dev team members is a Super Admin, and I can’t remove her from the list of users even though I am using an Administrator account.

What steps should I follow to remove a Super Admin from the list of Users?

    Thanks,

    Adrian

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Companies, groups and organizations of any kind do not own blogs. Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.

Is the blog’s actual owner ie. the person with the username account who registered the site that you refer to as a “Super Admin” the Admin that are attempting to remove?

If your answer is yes, understand that if you did not register the site you do not own it and will not succeed.

You can contact the actual owner of the site and ask them to transfer the site to another username account and transfer upgrades as well.

The owner of the site can transfer the site (and/or upgrades) to another account by adding another username account as an Admin. https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator

Do note the recommendation is for s single Admin for each blog and why that is https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator

Thank you so much! This is very helpful. I will contact the original owner of the site.

When against the recommendation, there are multiple Admins they may believe they own a site but they don’t. There is only one owner of any site at any point in time.

    You’re welcome and best wishes.
