How to remove ads from photos?
-
I just noticed today that there are “Luminate” ads popping up over the bottom 25% of all the photos in my blog – why is this and how do I get rid of them? They are very distracting.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Who owns the images?
Are the your own images under your copyright?
Are they under the copyright of someone else? If so, do you have specific written permission to use them and remove watermarking stated in Terms of Use form the copyright holder(s)?
Are you stealing images? -
Are these Flickr images? I’m asking because Flickr changed how their links worked, so Staff modified things at this end. http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/flickr-photos/
That said, the WordPress Gallery only works with images that are uploaded into a blog post or page on WordPress.com servers. You can’t insert photos that are hosted outside of WordPress.com. You have to upload them here as they have to be on WordPress.com servers ie. in the Media Library.

These are my images that I shot and edited myself and uploaded into Flickr. It is not a watermark that is appearing at the bottom of my photos – it’s a clickable ad that only goes away if you x out of it. I don’t want the ads on my photos and I would like to know how to disable them.

I run and an AdBLocker. I hate advertising of any and all description and I run No-Ads upgrades on my blogs and will not follow blogs running ads. Let me log out and disable my AdBlocker and see what I can see please.

I do not see any ads on your images. I see a sidebar full of ads and I see this page > http://lladybird.com/sponsor/ No blogger initiated advertising is allowed on WordPress.com blogs.
All WordPress.com placed ads are easy to identify as this link accompanies them http://en.wordpress.com/about-these-ads/
Any other ads you see are not placed on the blog by WordPress.com. They are coming from a browser extension or toolbar. These sites have further explanation and suggestions for eliminating the ads: http://www.littletechiethings.com/2012/06/how-to-remove-ads-not-by-this-site.html http://blog.wikimedia.org/2012/05/14/ads-on-wikipedia-your-computer-infected-malware/ http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/09/14/bloggers-beware-of-adware/
If you use the information at the sites I linked to and still see ads please post screenshot http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/ Upload it to your Media Library, and return to this thread to provide the file name so Staff can examine it.
I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

I appreciate your assistance. I don’t think this is an issue with a browser extension, as I’ve looked at my blog from several different browsers, as well as had a couple people point it out. When googling, I found this question on the staff answers forum:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/why-are-ads-showing-up-over-my-photos?replies=6
The staff says it’s from WordAds, which I am signed up for, but I was not notified that they would be covering the actual photos in my blog. The original question I linked to has been resolved to remove that part of the WordAds from their blog, and I’m trying to figure out if there is a way I can also have this done on my blog because I do not want the ads covering my photos.
Also, I don’t know if you clicked each individual post, but the Luminate ads only show if you are within a specific post… they are not viewable from the front page of my blog.
