How to remove ads from within my blogs
-
I have no problem with ads as banners or sidebars but lately ads are showing up as hyperlinks to the actual text in my blogs which makes it look like I’m endorsing them or sending people there. I’d like to block ads from automatically linking to text in my blogs. How do I do it?

We do occasionally run ads in order to keep free services free. However ads of the nature you describe are not permitted in our advertiser’s network.
I did not see that ad when visiting the site. If you do see the ad again, please make a screenshot and upload it via Media -> Add new in your blog’s Dashboard so we can take a look. We take this very seriously.
Here’s how to make a screenshot:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/Please note that it’s possible for ads to appear in your browser that were not placed there by WordPress.com. These ads are sometimes caused by malware or a virus, but more often it is due to a browser extension or toolbar that you may have installed in your browser.
These sites have further explanation and suggestions for eliminating the ads:

Thanks for the speedy reply. I rechecked the blog posts on my site just now after receiving your reply and I no longer see the condition I was describing (some unknown source hyperlinking specific words or phrases in my text to link to related ads, e.g., life coaching was linked to a coaching certification site, etc.). If it appears again I’ll take a screen shot and let you know.
