How to remove an embedded advert/link?

  I have link to another company on my blog that I’d like to remove but for the life of me I cannot find it anywhere on the admin page so have no idea how to remove it.

  Searches aren’t helping and WP admin is offline for a few more days. I;m obviously not very technical but I didn’t think I was this daft!

  Any suggestions gratefully received.

  Hi,

  It depends where the link is located. A link in the content of a post or page may be deleted at the corresponding post or page editor. A link in a widget may be eliminated by editing or deleting the widget. Where is the link located on the site?

  Hi. It’s a widget, I think. On the right hand side column and not in any posts. In the admin page I just can’t see it anywhere.

  30 minutes of searching and I have finally found and removed the code!

  Neither easy nor logical!

  I still use the old wp-admin widgets page. Yours would be at https://financialuae.me/wp-admin/widgets.php. You might find some pages in the wp-admin UI more intuitive and easy to use than the corresponding sections of the customize page.
