How to remove an obsolete webpage
-
We have an old wordpress site set up by a previous member of our local nature club. We no longer have any contact with that member and the webpage is now obsolete and out of date, having last been updated in 2019. New members trying to find the club who come across this page and can’t find the right information (we now have a new webpage with a different host but the new one appears below the old one in search results). I want to get the old wordpress site removed but without being the owner or having any contact with them I don’t know if this is possible. It feels like there should be a way to request a removal in this situation given it’s clearly no longer updated and also contains personal information from our current coordinator (phone number and email – both of which are now out of date). I don’t seem to be able to contact wordpress directly about this without being a paying member so wondering if anyone here has any advice? I believe the other option is to request it’s removed from Google search results but want to check if there’s anyway to retire the website first.
