@ardpete: That option isn’t present in all themes. See here:

As a rule, it’s present when the blog title is inside the header image area. -

@Nik: Link to the log in question please, so I can see what you’ve added and give you a code that hides the title.

Also- do you if there is a way we can see examples of people who have used our themes?
Thank you!

To find other blogs that use the same theme, you copy the theme blurb from the credits and make a site-specific and term-specific search. In your case, you paste this in the Google search box:
site:wordpress.com "Theme: Blogum by WPShower"To hide the blog title and tagline, go to Appearance > Widgets, add a Text widget, paste the following, save:
<div align="center" style="top:0;right:0;width:945px;height:125px;background-color:#fff;position:absolute;z-index:11;"> </div>This will create a white strip in front of the title area.
If you don’t like the resulting empty space, I can probably work out something more elaborate that will allow you to place the Header image higher.

You are honestly amazing!!! It worked!! Thank you – but yes, is it possible to add some code just to shift it a little higher? Sorry to be so demanding!

Ok!
Go to Appearance > Header and remove the header image. Then paste this in the Text widget:<div align="center" style="position:absolute;top:0;left:0;z-index:11;width:100%;height:180px;background-color:#fff;"> <div style="position:relative;top:5px;text-align:left;margin-left:160px;font-size:16px;font-weight:bold;"> <a style="color:#000;text-decoration:none;" href="http://nikitashethdesigns.wordpress.com/">Home</a> <span style="color:#9d9d9d;">/</span> <a style="color:#000;text-decoration:none;" href="http://nikitashethdesigns.wordpress.com/about/">About</a> </div> <div style="position:relative;top:1px;"> <a href="http://nikitashethdesigns.wordpress.com/"><img style="max-width:945px;" src="http://nikitashethdesigns.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/header1.jpg"></a> </div> </div> -

A few months ago I worked out something quite similar for another user. You might be interested in reading this:
