Anyone? I’ve sent support requests via Jetpack as well and no one gets back to me. It’s a pressing issue and I’ve been trying to get a response for 2 solid days now.

I’m not the only one they’re ignoring on here and Live Chat it seems.

@stevejones12343 Unfortunately, we can’t clear the Image cache on a domain level; however, we can do it for individual images. If you provide us with a list of image URLs (starting with i0, i1, i2), we’ll gladly take care of this for you.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to let us know.

Check your wp-config.php file if you have the access

@webrndexperts you don’t have access to wp-config.php on the wordpress.com platform.

Please don’t respond if you don’t have the fix for the issue, the thread is getting off topic. This is a fix for Jetpack admins and no one else. Thank you

@stevejones12343 please ignore the spam reply just above and kindly wait for Staff to return to this thread. Thank you for providing the info they asked for.

Thanks Jennifer, is there only one admin that can handle this? It looks like the admin who picked this up hasn’t been on for a few days, and I didn’t get any notifications of a reply when he initially replied. This is getting to be a real issue!

Any member of staff can assist with this and I see that someone has again flagged your thread for staff attention.

Hopefully a staff member will be by soon to remove those images from the jetpack cache, assuming that you’ve also deleted them permanently from your site’s media library.

Hey @stevejones12343, thanks for being patient. We usually tackle older conversations first, and all the talking kept pushing the date forward. Sorry about the wait!

Regarding the worries about cached images on our servers, let me explain how this feature works in more detail. Hopefully, it’ll clear things up and help us give you what you need. Our Site Accelerator doesn’t cache the original images; it only caches resized ones. When an image is resized, it gets stuff added to the end of its link, like this: ?w=683&quality=80&ssl=1 – these are called resize parameters.

Here’s how it works: someone wants to see a resized image in their browser > our system gets the request -> sees we don’t have that resized image cached -> grabs the original image -> resizes it -> caches it -> shows it to that person. Then we keep that cached resized version.

If you give us all the links (which you did, thanks!) to remove the cache and keep Site Accelerator off, your images won’t be in our system anymore. The only time they might still show up is if someone saved an image URL with a Site Accelerator domain OR if a cached page has an image URL starting with Site Accelerator domain – but that’s pretty rare!

One thing to remember: if you check to see if the images are gone and reload the Site Accelerator URL (the one starting with i0, i1, i2), it’ll cache the image again. So, don’t reload those URLs now that we’ve cleared the cache. I’ve also removed the URLs from this thread so nobody else can load them. :)

I know that’s a lot, so feel free to ask if you have any more questions or worries.
