how to remove "category" from the url

    How to remove “category” from the url? In addition when I add a static page I can’t make it display the categories for the subject on that page.

    I am in parallel developing a website and don’t want the URL’s to change when I switch to the new site.

    Appreciate any advice you can offer.

    Hi there,

    In WordPress.com you cannot change the behavior of your link structure in such a way that you can remove the category subdirectory from the URL.

    In regard to your question about the static page, I’m afraid I don’t quite understand what you’re asking about. When you say that you can’t make it display the “categories for the subject”, what precisely do you mean?
