How to Remove Comments Box from Static Front Page
-
Hi there,
It is driving me nuts, I can’t get rid of the comment box on my front page in the Moka theme. I disabled the box “comments” in screen settings 20 times now, it keeps coming back. I also changed me settings into ‘No comments allowed’, but the box is still there! Please help!
Thanks so much,
Sanny

Hello there,
All WordPress blogs by default have comments open on all Pages and Posts. You can enable and disable comments on free hosted WordPress.com blogs on this page > Settings > Discussion
Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/You can override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.

You can reveal it by clicking on Screen Options http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ on the top right corner of your Admin page, and checking the box that says Discussion so the module is included. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules

Hi there,
Thanks so much! But, sadly, I tried it all… the box is still on my static front page… So, maybe it is the theme? I am almost desperate but have a little hope left ;)
Thanks again!

This is not a theme related issue. Please work through what I posted above again and take note of the “Note:” because what what I posted works on all of our blogs.

The comments were still enabled on your front page. I’ve just disabled this for you under ‘Discussion’ at https://sannyvisser.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=526&action=edit
