How to remove comments from some static pages, not all

  I have 6 static pages, and want to remove the comment field from 3 of them. I have tried to follow instructions on this link
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/ without success. Please help.

  At which point in the guide are you running into trouble?

  I go to Dashboard, click Pages, select the static page, but then I can’t locate the discussion module, as shown on the instructions, where I can (un)check the comment box.

  When I open Screen Option, a box opens at the top of the page. In this box is Comments, with a small place in front of it to check. It is unchecked, but the comment field is still visible on the static page.

  There should be a “Discussion” checkbox in the Screen Options tab. Check that.
