How to remove domain expired notification?

  My domain expired about a month ago, and I am not renewing it. I can’t seem to find any way to get the expiration message removed from my site. I saw someone with a similar problem here, but it seems like a staff member fixed the issue for them. Just wondering if there’s any way to get the overlay removed.
