How to remove grey box asking to follow web site on iPad?

    A grey box from WordPress keeps popping up on iPad viewing, inviting me to “Follow” our web site by entering my email.

    It gets in the way of viewing the site, and given this is mainly a static (non-blog) site, we are not trying to developing a following for changes.

    How do we stop the box from appearing?
