How to Remove Header Image from Static Page
-
This is for website: jaredcwellman.wordpress.com (which is in the works, so forgive the randomness).
I am trying to remove my header image from my “home” static page and cannot discover how to do it. I want to remove it so that I can make the home page look distinct. I have searched but cannot understand the directions in the posts I have read.
Is there an easy way to remove the graphic that from one page only? I see how to remove it from every page, but I need to be able to choose page by page whether I want it or not.
Thanks!

Basically, no there is not. You can upload a plain image the same colour as your background though. That should have a similar effect, but it will take effect all across your blog.

You might prefer to find a different theme. Many of the newest ones have no header per se at all.

You can hide the header entirely if you have a solid knowledge of CSS and the paid upgrade, but that sounds like more heavy lifting than you want to get into.

I love the theme I have. I have searched through most of the other free themes and this one is exactly what I was looking for.
I think I am going to bite the bullet and pay the $30 upgrade to do the CSS. I just wanted to make sure that there wasn’t any other way than that. I also want to remove the page titles from each page and from what I have read that editing the CSS is the only way as well.
Thanks for the replies!
