How to remove image file names when I email pictures
-
Hello,
Whenever I email pictures to the blog, the file name (in various lengths) appears below each picture. How can I remove it? Thanks in advance.

Hi CP
I slogged through the whole blog. No filenames were under the photos in the finished product. I might have missed it, is there a specific photo in the finished blog you are seeing this in?If you are seeing it but i am not, might be your browser is displaying things since you could be logged into the blog and i am not. Try a different browser and see what happens!
best,

Hey CP
No, i do not see the filenames. Have you tried a different browser? Can you send a link to the page with the photos in question?dave

Are you referring to the *captions* that appear under the Gallery images here: https://eft2017.wordpress.com/2017/03/29/testing/
When you post by email https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/ you can choose to upload and insert multiple images inline rather than in a Gallery by using the [nogallery] shortcode. Not having tried this, I’m not certain what will be the end result as far as captions go,
The other choice is to rename your images before you email them knowing that whatever the file is named is what is displayed as a caption.
Another possibility is to use the WordPress app on the go rather than post by email. https://en.support.wordpress.com/apps/
Let us know if you need any other information or help.

If your posts are going to be all photos, you might be interested in PostBot! https://en.support.wordpress.com/postbot/
I used it when it first came out a couple of years ago and haven’t since then, so YMMV.

PostBot sounds exactly what I need! Can I use it on my iPhone 7+? Is it an app or just website?
