How to remove infinite/credit footer

  I was wondering how I can remove the infinite footer on my WordPress blog.

  Hello,
  Removing the footer info is not allowed as it’s against the WordPress.com terms of service (item #11 Attribution): https://en.wordpress.com/tos/

  I know but, iv have seen other websites that are hosted on WP.com that don’t have this.

  For example TechCrunch doesn’t have this

  TechCrunch uses the WordPress.com VIP services. Even then they still have “Powered by WordPress.com VIP” in the footer.

  One way to prevent the infinite scroll footer from coming up as you scroll is to add a footer widget, even if it’s something as simple as a blank text widget.

  Give this a try and let me know how it goes.

  As micawbr mentioned, even VIP clients must maintain the credit. If you spot a WordPress.com site that does not have a footer credit, feel free to report it to our Terms of Service team.
