Hi @9thartwave!
1) My logo from the low part of the page
You can use Custom CSS (part of a Premium Plan or Business Plan).
Try adding this snippet under My Site > Customize > CSS:
.footer-site-branding { display: none; }2) The info regarding each post (”posted by …”)
You should be able to hide/show that using the setting for the Author Bio under My Site > Customize > Content Options.
When I test it though, unchecking that box doesn’t look like it’s hiding the bio! I’ll open a bug report on that now.
In the meantime, if that setting is also not working for you, use this CSS as a temporary solution:
.entry-author { display: none; }How can I change the size of each portfolio thumbnail (to make them fit in 3 or 4 columns?
There’s a setting for this under My Site > Customize > Theme Options > Portfolio Layout Settings.
You can select 2, 3, or 4 columns :)
Keep in mind, Eris is a responsive theme, so if you select (for example) 4 columns, you will only see them if your screen is wide enough to fit them – it will adapt to 3 columns to fit your individual screen if needed :)

Many thanks. I have more question, while starting building the website. I will place them here but feel free to re-direct them in another group if this is not the correct one (or let me know where to post them).
1) How do I decrease the size of the content slider
2) How can I change the full background colour of the landing page to white (it turns into white only when I scroll down)
3) Most importantly, I do not exactly get the portfolio (project) feature…I want my posts to appear as thumbnails, as in the demo. But The only way is if I create new projects. How can I convert a post into a project?

Happy to help :)
Generally, it’s best to keep different questions in their own threads. The size of the slider and the background color will both be CSS related. Can you open two threads (one for each question) in the CSS forum for those? :)
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customizationAfter a quick look, resizing the slider may have some drawbacks – like cropping or missing parts of the image. Be sure to describe how you want it changed (shorter, narrower, or both)
The portfolio question I can answer for you :)
Portfolios are similar to posts – in fact, they’re really just a different kind of post.
If you have a post you’d like to turn into a portfolio, you’ll need to copy and paste the contents of the post into a new Portfolio Project.
You can read more about portfolios here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/portfolios/If you have additional questions, feel free to open a new thread – for visual changes, the CSS forum is your best bet. For other Eris related items, you can use this one!

thanks, I will proceed as per your advise
Very quick one though, as far as I understood, there is no way to user my existing posts (convert them or whatever). I need to create the same portfolios, correct?
-
You’re welcome!
That is correct – you’ll need to copy the content over to a new portfolio project :)

Update on the Author Bio question! A fix was just released, so the CSS we used is no longer needed. :)
