Hello, I checked your site but didn’t see any left hand sidebar. With it do you mean the area where post date and comment links are shown?

Try using the following CSS:
#content .entry-header, #content .entry-content { width: 100%; } #content .entry-details { display: none; } -

incidentally, do you happen to know how to change the font / alignment of the footer and remove the occasional floating footer?
-
This CSS will center the text in footer. You can also add your own font modification CSS in there.
#colophon { text-align: center; }Not quite sure what you mean with floating footer, care to explain?
-
the floating footer happens when you have ‘infinite scrolling’ turned on apparently… http://timtfj.wordpress.com/2012/07/18/infinite-scrolling-instructions/
that seems to have fixed it :)
i am a total newbie, and really appreciate your help..
how do i add the font modification to your css snippet? basically i want to ensure the appropriate wordpress credits stay on there, but i would like the font to match the ‘raleway’ font i have used elsewhere on the site.thank you!!
:)

Ah, I see what you mean. Try the following CSS:
#colophon { text-align: center; font-family: raleway-1,raleway-2,"Droid Sans",arial,sans-serif; font-style: normal; font-weight: 100; font-variant: normal; font-size: 1.15em; } -
